This week we finally heard the news that we have made it through to the finals, along with our good friends at King Richard III Visitor Centre!

Over the years, we’ve worked to develop Boosters into a café that’s accessible and friendly to everyone that visits the National Space Centre, especially families who need to plan meals for their children or people they are caring for. So it’s a huge boost to the team and the Centre as whole that we’ve achieved accreditation from the Family Café Standard.

But it can be tough to see the stars, or to even know what to look out for, especially if you are new to the field. We were absolutely blown away when an organisation called AR Demolition reached out to us and told us they wanted to make a very special donation and purchase 5 plaques to support the IGNITE!

It’s time to meet the second of our resident Space Experts, Suzie Imber, a Professor of Space Physics, specialist researcher on Space Weather, Mercury expert, Mountain Rescue volunteer, and an accomplished high altitude mountaineer!
We are so lucky to have such a skilled and intelligent team who ensure that everything we teach our visitors about space is both accurate and accessible. But sometimes, you just have to call in the specialists! That's why we now have not one, not two, but four designated Space Experts from our close friends at the University of Leicester, who are ready to provide their vast knowledge about more in depth STEM subjects.
