With stunning 5K laser projection and state-of-the-art sound, the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium brings the cosmos to life for all ages; from award-winning productions to presenter-led astronomy guides, cinema and music shows throughout the year.

Did you know that the UK’s largest planetarium is available for private hire? With seating for 192 people, it offers a truly unique, immersive space for events and celebrations. Contact our events team to start planning an out-of-this-world experience.
Accessibility Information
- The Planetarium has spaces for up to 6 wheelchairs.
- We offer subtitled and BSL assisted shows, as well as our guided, drop-in Tour of the Night Sky.
- The Planetarium is fitted with a fixed Induction Loop. Please speak to a member of staff should you need assistance with this.
- Large-print planetarium show transcripts are available upon request. A magnifying glass with a built-in LED light is also available to facilitate reading in the Planetarium
- If you or anyone in your group needs to leave the show for any reason, there is no need to worry. Simply inform a member staff, and they will be happy to assist you in exiting the Planetarium.
